The sun was out and so were many cars at Portland Cars and Coffee. We had a great mix of cars, including a 458 Speciale and a Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R. There was also a cute Nyan Cat and Totoro decorated 280Z :)

Even though I lugged around the trinity of lenses (Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art, AF-S 50mm f/1.4G and AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8), I only used the Sigma with my D800E for the morning.

Was it an R32 with R33 body work? That looks like it is an illegal R33, better not let the DOT and ICE find this. . .

Yeah, I was a bit annoyed by that as well.

It bugged me too, at first. Then I realized that the upgraded leads are too big to fit in the brackets. Still, they're pretty sloppily laid out, especially the three that are twisted around each other around the oil cap.

They also need different color plug wires to make a rainbow.

That's really cool and nice to see all five generations in the mix. I might not be able to do it this year, but I would love to either do the Mt. St. Helens or the Maryhill drive with the Audi Club.

we did Maryhill in October stopping at some near wineries. Had a blast on that too. Was an amazing drive.

I did a version of the Maryhill drive via SR14 and took I-84/Hwy 35/Hwy 26 back home in an Audi A8 L last year and it's a gorgeous drive. The only thing that would have made it better was to hear a few more V8s and inline fives in the mix :)

I can't remember the story behind it, as the owner provided a run-down on what the process was a couple of years ago when he swung by for the first time.

I guess the few cars that MotoRex did actually get federalized before they turned shady are fine to stay in country but the other ones aren't. If it is one of the legal ones it is probably one of the MotoRex cars. That is a nice treat to see though. I've seen one R32, a few R33's and one R34 out on the roads in SoCal. I lost my shit the first time I saw one out driving around.

that's about what we did. Went up 14 to the Stonehenge memorial. I recommend that as a stop because its big enough to do a great group shot. Stopped at the Maryhill winery, Maryhill museum (don't stop there with a group) had dinner at a small pizzeria and mirobrew place. The crossed bridge of the gods and came home up 84. I think we had 20 Camaros. Did have all 5 gens as well. First time of doing that ever.

The view from the Stonehenge Memorial and the Museum are really great ( photos ). I haven't stopped at the winery yet (owing to that I can't drink alcohol for health reasons), but wouldn't mind stopping by with a group.

There was a little fair set up when I was up at the museum and grab a couple of quick noms, but went across the river to The Dalles for lunch.

I can't stand wine but its a great place to see a concert in the summer and just take in the scenery. In a group was the way to go.

It is one of their's, however it was imported after all the drama, so this car as sold as they were shut down, so it was never converted to meet US requirements. So this car is full JDM spec.
